About Me.
Miss. Parker was born in Detroit, Michigan. She is a product of the Oak Park School District. Miss. Parker attended Michigan State University and earned her Bachelor's Degree majoring in Communication with a specialization in Interpersonal Communication and a cognate in General Business Administration Pre-law. Subsequently, she continued her educational journey and earned a Masters of Educational Leadership and Masters of Secondary Education. Currently, she is an educator in the Detroit Public Schools Community District. She has also served in many capacities in charter schools in the metro Detroit area.
Tyloaha has been a devout Christian and lifetime member of Oak Grove AME Church. She is a member of the Next Generation Usher Board, Young Adult Ministry (Past President and Past Vice President), Commission on Christian & Social Relations (Corresponding Secretary), and served in other capacities within the church.
She is an active community participant. She is a National Board member for Michigan State University Black Alumni and President of the Oakland County Chapter, member of Paulette C. Walker Endowed Scholarship Committee, and continues to serve within her sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She currently is a member of the Southfield Alumnae Chapter and has served on the Executive Board for several years as the Scholarship Committee Chair and is involved in other chapter committees and initiatives.
